Next week the government intend to pass the “Commercial Rent (Coronavirus) Bill 2021-22” which creates a new binding arbitration process limiting enforcement action for commercial rent arrears in favour of commercial tenants who were adversely affected by Coronavirus during the pandemic lockdown period (just in time for the lifting of the current moratorium!).
