Lightfoots Solicitors lends a helping hand to Thame Senior Friendship Centre

15th April 2026

Lightfoots Solicitors has pledged its support to Thame Senior Friendship Centre, offering the charity ad-hoc IT assistance as part of its ongoing commitment to the local community.

Thame Senior Friendship Centre is a registered local charity that has been providing a social haven for older and isolated people in the Thame area since 1986. Open for 50 weeks of the year, the charity opens its Friendship Centre three days per week and the Memories Dementia Café two mornings per week. Offering support to more than 60 people living in the community every week, both centres are places to find companionship, stimulating activities and a warm welcome, provided by their experienced staff and team of caring volunteers.

Like many small charities, the Centre runs on minimal resources and relies on the goodwill of its community. When the team reached out to Lightfoots Solicitors to ask whether the firm might be able to provide occasional technical help with their three computers and Microsoft 365 system, Lightfoots Solicitors was happy to say yes.

Ann Millar, Chair of Trustees at TSFC said “We are incredibly grateful to Lightfoots for their support and delighted that they are so keen to support us supporting the local community.  We look forward to working with them.”

Mark Gray, Head of IT at Lightfoots Solicitors said “Thame Senior Friendship Centre does vital work for some of the most vulnerable members of our community, and we’re delighted to be able to offer a little practical support. It’s a small thing for us, but we hope it makes a real difference to the team so they can focus on what they do best, caring for their members.”

The arrangement will see a member of the Lightfoots Solicitors IT team available to assist the Centre on an occasional basis when minor IT queries arise, a simple but meaningful gesture that reflects the firm’s wider ethos of giving back to the communities it serves.
