Ethics and Compliance Manager/ Trainee Solicitor I Employment Law
Lauren qualified with a Law degree and LPC at the University of Northumbria in 2011 and launched her career in compliance when she joined the Academic Compliance department at Oxford University Press in 2013.
Lauren joined Lightfoots in 2018 to head up the Ethics and Compliance Department, responsible for ensuring firm-wide compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, keeping up with the firm’s numerous accreditations, as well as embedding the ethics of the firm. She now sits with the Employment Department as a Trainee Solicitor working alongside her compliance role. Lauren is assisting the Solicitors in drafting and advising on employment and litigation related matters. In particular, she brings her experience of GDPR compliance to the department and hopes to offer unique services to clients in this area.
Lauren is playing a key part in the firm’s digitalisation and her specialisms include anti-money laundering compliance, GDPR, and SRA regulation.
Prior to joining Lightfoots in 2018, Lauren worked in conveyancing, debt recovery/insolvency, and anti-corruption (international).
