Gabrielle is a Solicitor in Lightfoots’ Banking and Finance team, specialising in litigation involving lenders, borrowers and secured property. She works closely with clients, taking a proactive and commercially focused approach to every matter. Gabrielle is known for managing cases carefully, communicating clearly and providing practical support throughout the litigation process.
Gabrielle advises on a range of unregulated mortgage litigation and receivership matters. Her experience includes lender possession proceedings, trespass claims, section 8 proceedings, reviewing and advising on security documentation. She also undertakes work involving debt recovery including money judgments and insolvency. During her training contract, Gabrielle undertook a Wills and Probate seat and Ethics and Compliance Seat. Having gained experience in these sectors, she has developed a broader knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk management and private client matters, which she brings into her current role.
Before joining Lightfoots in January 2023, Gabrielle gained legal experience in corporate and commercial environments, working on matters involving dispute resolution and contractual agreements. This experience gave her a strong grounding in commercial legal issues and helped develop the analytical, organisational and client-service skills she brings to her current practice. Her academic studies further broadened her understanding of finance and business law and mergers and acquisitions.
