Rebecca is a family solicitor based in the Thame High Street office; she joined the firm in January 2023.

After obtaining her LLB at the University of Lincoln, Rebecca attended the University of Sheffield where she completed a Masters Degree in Legal Practice. Rebecca’s research primarily focused on whether non-financial contributions should be taken into account when deciding who is entitled to a share of a family home, upon the breakdown of a cohabiting relationship.

Prior to her qualification Rebecca worked at a national firm in their low value personal injury department and for a Local Authority in public children proceedings. Following her qualification as a Solicitor in 2022, Rebecca worked as a family solicitor at another quality Oxfordshire firm, before she joined the Lightfoots Solicitors family team.

Rebecca specialises in all aspects of family law, but has a particular interest in Children Act matters, including Child Arrangement Orders, Specific Issue, Prohibited Steps Orders, and Leave to Remove or Remain applications. Alongside this, Rebecca also takes instructions on divorce and financial settlement matters, alongside civil partnership dissolution, cohabitation disputes, and enforcement applications. Rebecca also acts for victims of domestic abuse concerning protective orders, Non-Molestation, and Occupation Orders.

Her clients recognise that she uses a personal and friendly approach towards complex and sensitive issues and provides practical advice to ensure that a constructive and considered approach is taken towards matters. Rebecca also strives to make her clients feel at ease and comfortable at an often difficult point in their lives.

Rebecca is also a committee member for the BB&O Law Society.
