Ian joined Lightfoots in 2004, qualified as a Solicitor in 2008 and became a Partner in 2012. He specialises in Consumer Credit Law and has successfully advised a number of the firm’s lender clients through regulatory compliance and also contentious litigation arising out of the Consumer Credit Acts.

Ian has published a number of articles for leading publications including Mortgage Strategy and the Credit Services Association, and was a guest speaker at the Consumer Credit Trade Association annual roadshow event.

Ian is fluent in French and his career includes working for Notaires in Paris where he assisted clients with commercial and residential property transactions throughout France.
