Solicitor I Dispute Resolution
Claire cross qualified as a solicitor in 2018 as a mature student having undertaken study whilst juggling family life. Prior to this she completed the academic training for the bar and worked as a law reporter in the Court of Appeal and in legal publishing. During her studies she acted pro bono for several charities, representing victims of domestic abuse in emergency injunction applications and parents of children with special educational needs.
Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2018, she advises on a broad spectrum of dispute resolution work and represents both individuals and commercial organisations. Her work encompasses property disputes, including ownership claims under Trust of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996; wills, trusts and probate disputes; landlord and tenant disputes; debt recovery and contentious insolvency proceedings. Claire is experienced in representing clients in court and using alternative dispute procedures, including mediation, to resolve disputes.
